A Tokyo Condo That Bridges Scandinavian and Japanese Design
Opus Arisugawa Residence is a minimal interior located in Tokyo, Japan, designed by OEO Studio. The Copenhagen-based studio worked closely with ReBITA, the Japanese property developer, on the renovation of the 2,150-square-foot luxury apartment.
Having worked in Japan for many years, OEO continues to explore the complementary qualities between Japanese and Scandinavian design. The interiors reflect this cross-pollination, drawing inspiration from both cultures while maintaining the highest level quality of materials and techniques.
The apartment includes two main bedrooms, each of which having contrasting expressions. They both feature custom-built fittings as well as furniture from Karakter, Brdr. Krüger, Stellar Works, and Fritz Hansen. While both rooms feature ensuites with textured stonework, one bathroom features a Hinoki wood bathtub that serves as the centerpiece of the space.
