Jaime Hayon: InfinitaMente Celebrates the Spanish Designer With a Grand Exhibition
We’re no stranger to Jaime Hayon’s work which is why we were excited to learn about his latest exhibition, Jaime Hayon: InfinitaMente, at the Center del Carme Cultura Contemporània (CCCC) in Valencia, Spain. The globally-celebrated Spanish designer brings his creative universe to the cultural center with a selection of his most iconic works, including furniture, paintings, sculpture, ceramics, glass, tapestries, graphics, and even pieces that have never been presented in Spain.
Visitors to the CCCC will be able to view over 20 years of Hayon Studio works. The central section of the exhibition takes a deep dive into Hayon’s creative process behind his commercial furniture, lighting, and accessories, showcasing prototypes, samples, tools, raw materials, sources of inspiration, sketches, and other behind-the-scenes details to help provide context behind Hayon’s most notable works.
Two of the rooms in the exhibition are dedicated solely to glass and ceramics, two central materials in Hayon’s works. The works highlight the designer’s innovativeness to push the boundaries of these materials to create new and expressive forms.
Jaime Hayon: InfinitaMente is on view through April 16, 2023 and is part of the official program of the World Design Capital Valencia 2022. The exhibition is produced by the Consorci de Museus de la Comunitat Valenciana and the Center del Carme Cultura Contemporània (CCCC). To learn more, visit World Design Capital Valencia 2022.
